No, I meant /usr/lib/liblzma.a.

Do you have any other compilers installed?

On a machine where make buildworld failed, do

% cd /usr/src
% make buildenv
% echo $PATH
% which cc
% cc --version
% strings $(which cc) | grep -w tmp
