i just rebuilt gcc and can verify your issue:

otaku% pwd
/usr/obj/usr/git-freebsd-head/gnu/usr.bin/cc/cc
otaku% cc -### -march=native -S foo.c
Using built-in specs.
Target: amd64-undermydesk-freebsd
Configured with: FreeBSD/amd64 system compiler
Thread model: posix
gcc version 4.2.2 20070831 prerelease [FreeBSD]
 "/usr/libexec/cc1" "-quiet" "-D_LONGLONG" "/home/arundel/test_fpu.c" "-march=nocona" "-mtune=generic" "-quiet" "-dumpbase" "test_fpu.c" "-auxbase" "test_fpu" "-o" "test_fpu.s"

my CPU is:

CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual  CPU  E2160  _at_ 1.80GHz (1800.00-MHz K8-class CPU)
  Origin = "GenuineIntel"  Id = 0x6fd  Family = 6  Model = f  Stepping = 13
  Features=0xbfebfbff<FPU,VME,DE,PSE,TSC,MSR,PAE,MCE,CX8,APIC,SEP,MTRR,PGE,MCA,CMOV,PAT,PSE36,CLFLUSH,DTS,ACPI,MMX,FXSR,SSE,SSE2,SS,HTT,TM,PBE>
  Features2=0xe39d<SSE3,DTES64,MON,DS_CPL,EST,TM2,SSSE3,CX16,xTPR,PDCM>
  AMD Features=0x20100800<SYSCALL,NX,LM>
