I don't understand your answer.

Let me add a few more details. My /usr/src is a symlink to 
/home/svn/head. For that matter, my /usr/obj is actually a symlink to 
/usr/local/obj. Meanwhile, I have the following in /usr/obj:

ls /usr/obj/
home/  lib32/
