With the help of google I did something for this a few months ago. You can create a new disk image, and use case-sensitive for this image. I created mine as something like 8GB but thinly provisioned so it didn't take up all the space until used. I use VMWare for testing code changes ($WORK paid for a license for me), but it's a CPU/battery hog, so I'm not wild about it, but it does work.
