It is something new for me (maintainer). What is "recommended" method? You need slqite3, it is not-optional dependency. sqlite3 need tcl to be built. Please, blame sqlite3 for tcl. sqlite3 could be build without it easily, and I don't understand, why sqlite3 maintainer uses it unconditionally.
