This will greatly improve the abilities of the tool (you'll be able to perform remote package queries, etc. -- something you couldn't ever do in sysinstall). However, in order to build a more full-and-complete package management tool based on pkgng, we needed the help of bapt (and he's agreed to help -- later). Right now, bsdconfig and pkgng are maturing side-by-side without knowledge of each other.
