I've made clang the default on x86 systems. There will probably be a few bumps as we work out the last kinks including a ABI issue for i386 system libraries, but the transition is expected to be fairly smooth for most users. Please report problems on freebsd-current or freebsd-toolchain. -- Brooks ----- Forwarded message from Brooks Davis <brooks_at_FreeBSD.org> ----- Date: Mon, 5 Nov 2012 19:08:18 +0000 (UTC) From: Brooks Davis <brooks_at_FreeBSD.org> To: src-committers_at_FreeBSD.org, svn-src-all_at_FreeBSD.org, svn-src-head_at_FreeBSD.org Subject: svn commit: r242624 - in head: . share/mk sys/sys Author: brooks Date: Mon Nov 5 19:08:18 2012 New Revision: 242624 URL: http://svnweb.freebsd.org/changeset/base/242624 Log: After years of hard work by many FreeBSD and LLVM developers, make clang the default compiler on i386 and amd64 systems.
