I referr to

doesn't work properly, problems getting UP automatically 

Applying the patch proposed in Bug 197535 and obviously solved by Linux people
(long) times ago solved the problem I encountered!

I have several Lenovo ThinkPads equipted with this NIC of Realtek and they all
show this broken behaviour reported in multiple cases as of Bug 193743.

It would be nice having this unnecessary problem solved soon.
