Has the counter/tic been resolved?

Greetings,
 I'm anxious to update one of my boxes that
runs CURRENT. But have been waiting until
having heard something on the list regarding
a change to the frequency counter that ended
in a panic ~ every 2 weeks.

Has that issue been resolved?
