The format strings is following:
"pid %d (%s), uid %d: exited on signal %d%s\n"
In other words, your line misses whole prefix, I suppose that '1001:' part
is uid printout.

Where do you see this line ?  Is it from /var/log/messages, remote syslog
service, console ?
