I upgraded this week from 4.9 stable to 5.2 current. Side note, other than my hard drive changing from ad0 to ad4 (I'm running off a promise ultra133 card instead of the motherboard, so this isn't unreasonable) it went very well! I performed this upgrade to use my DWL-G520. Once I figured out that I'm not allowed to have two interfaces on the same network, it works wonderfully. Now, lpd, on the other hand, has been giving me some trouble. When I print from the FreeBSD machine, it works fine. When I print from my powerbook running MacOS 10.3, across the wireless network, into the freebsd lpd, I get garbage across the top of the page then most/all of my data. This occurs whether printing from a web browser or `cat | lp`. Prior to the upgrade, printing worked fine. Prior to setting all of this up, I had a broadband router with a printer port on it. Both the FreeBSD machine (then 4.8) and the powerbook could print to router fine.
