Piggybacking on that request... I also need a major number. I had requested one some time ago, but it apparently got lost in the shuffle. The device is a Specialix I/O8+ multiport serial card. I've been using it for some weeks now without problems. For now the driver is -stable only; I'll port it to 5.x when I can test it there.
