I challenged following command lines,

  # /sbin/ifconfig ath0 ssid MY-SSID weptxkey 1 wepkey 1:0x01234567890123456789012345 wepkey 2:- wepkey 3:- wepkey 4:- media autoselect mode 11b
  # /sbin/ifconfig ath0 wepmode on

However, the behavior was not changed.
