Yes, I'm now using 5.x/6.x everythere I have a linux partitions, I remeber those days I've used fbsd 4.x with ext2 partition, everything was ok, so I think unclean shutdown with foreign partitions is 5.x issue only. > It's strange that you would be able to unmount it cleanly by hand but > not by shutdown. Actually this problem lives here for a long time, as far as I remeber myself started using 5.x, I remember this problem exists.
