The utilities have not been updated to keep up with changes in the kernel. I think you can work around the problem by symlinking /dev/rasr0 to /dev/dptr17 (possibly some other number). See the thread starting at http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.os.freebsd.devel.scsi/1933 . If you're adventurous, the source to the utilities is downloadable at http://mbserver.adaptec.com/view.php?bn=linux_downloads&key=1030733617 ; it at least builds with gcc 3.3 with a little c++ header and scope tweaking.
