Well... It will spend you a good amount of time to compile and install ezm3 during making the port. To install cvsup from disc1, you will have to install X11 library as well, while there is many good reasons to install cvsup-without-gui instead... Installing cvsup with pkg_add -r is reasonable (this is also the way I install cvsup), however, not so convinent for large deployment, and there are good reasons to keep cvsup daemon out from being installed on production boxes.
