I'm afraid I'm still having these problems with all of the
xorg-{something}server ports, even after a forced reinstall
of freetype2. For example, when I tried the latest xorg upgrade,
I died on:

/usr/ports/x11-servers/xorg-nestserver/work/xc/lib/font/libXfont.a(ftfuncs.o): In function `FreeTypeAddProperties':
ftfuncs.o(.text+0x219e): undefined reference to `FT_Get_PS_Font_Info'
ftfuncs.o(.text+0x304b): undefined reference to `FT_Get_X11_Font_Format'
/usr/ports/x11-servers/xorg-nestserver/work/xc/lib/font/libXfont.a(ftfuncs.o): In function `is_fixed_width':
ftfuncs.o(.text+0x4474): undefined reference to `FT_Get_PS_Font_Info'
/usr/ports/x11-servers/xorg-nestserver/work/xc/lib/font/libXfont.a(ftenc.o): In function `FTPickMapping':
ftenc.o(.text+0xb1): undefined reference to `FT_Get_BDF_Charset_ID'

*** Error code 1

Stop in /usr/ports/x11-servers/xorg-nestserver/work/xc/programs/Xserver.
*** Error code 1

[etc.]

I am able to install these as packages, and everything seems to be
working neatly. However I'd love to figure out why this is happening.

Anyone else having these problems? Anything else I can try to reinstall
to help?
