Hmm.  Just out of curiosity -- did you look at the jumper settings on the
drives and cable order and make sure they were in a supported
configuration (i.e., not two masters, etc)?  If they were in a supported
configuration, it might be useful to file a PR even though it now works
for you, just on the theory that it should have worked before.
