Re: reliable disk FAILURE

I am using the same board(I think). And I had similar problem.
I disabled the SATA enhanced mode from the bios. That fixed all my SATA 
problems. The only thing you lose is the secondary PATA controller. You 
dont have any PATA drives anyway so...CDROM can manage in primary PATA 
controller. Of course there should be a permanent fix to this problem in 
the source, but I am not a programmer :) I can just suggest the 
temporary fix that I used.

By the way, when you change the SATA mode, the disk names also change. I 
see my SATA drives as ad2 and ad3 now!
