Not all i960 chips are created equal, or even close to equal.  There are
also things on the card to consider like the PIC that controls the
battery and thermal monitoring, not to mention the SCSI chips themselves
that require different drivers in the firmware.

Very fundamentally different.  ASR and AAC metadata vary in about every
way possible.  That's why I'm not 100% sure how safe the migration is, or
whether migration actually happens vs. the AAC card just running in ASR
compatibility node
