netgear wg311 v2 configuration

hello i have installed driver nisd for this card and it works but when i do "ifconfig ndis0 192.168.1.9 netmask 255.255.255.0 up " i have "ifconfig: ioctl (SIOCAIFADDR): File exists" and i don't understand why.
