Realtek D-Link DFE-690TXD (PCMCIA) unstable

I installed 5.3-BETA2 from my university's mirror the other night and
had no problem using the ftp to transfer large files to install my
system. However, when attempting to cvsup the system today it abruptly
stopped in the middle and acted as if there was no longer a connection
available. I get rl0: discard oversize frame (ether type 800 flags 3
len 63907 > max 1514) after a long time of waiting (I went to class
and when I came back I saw that in demsg). With a little research, I
know this is a problem other's have had, but I have yet to see a post
to freebsd-current about it. If there is any other information that is
needed, I will do my best to provide it; I'm limited time-wise due to
strenuous course-load, but I promise I'll dedicate some time to it ;)
