I made this assertion to Jordon about a year ago, and got back  
something a lot like "you're on drugs".  He didn't say that,
but thats what it felt like.

 From what I've seen of the programs that Apple has "open sourced",  
they do tend to use Mach-specific features ("ports") come to mind.
