Actually, now that I think about it, I tried a card with a SiI3114
chipset (the SATA-1 variety) in 7.0-CURRENT a few weeks ago in a
SuperMicro server board. The driver for that chipset is broken too, in
another weird and wonderful way. I have no idea if it is fixed yet or
not in the latest CURRENT, but I doubt it. The FreeBSD ata driver
maintainer seems to be MIA.
