8.0-CURRENT beta2 AMD64 installation issue

Hi all:

i'm trying to install, FreeBSD 8.0 beta 2 from disc1
on my AMD64 Athlon X2 box.

The issue faced is 
 "installInitial: Couldn't clone the boot floppy into
  the root filesystem. Aborting"

If i use the entire SATA II NCQ disk, this error is not seen,
but if i create a partition eg. i'm using a 80GB FreeBSD
partition (marked bootable), then this error is seen.

Any pointers ? What could i be missing ?
