I haven't tried mounting a USB stick on my 9.0-CURRENT just yet, but on
7.1, I used to do :

# mount -t msdosfs /dev/da0s1 /"name of your target directory"

You can try this, check what's in /dev/ to confirm what's in there, just
in case.
