most(1) and xemacs(1), but this is getting seriously off topic.

1. Should such a tool be in the base system?

2. If so, should it be screen(1) or tmux(1)

I vote 'no' to 1 and 'tmux(1)' for 2. I've just spent a fews minutes
with tmux and it has several wins over screen.

Then again, FreeBSD is not a democracy, so 'voting' is really just
advisory.
