Please give it a go and make sure it works for you! Just out of curiosity, is it possible to put the journal on a different physical disk (e.g. a flash disk or other kind of SSD)? Or does the journal have to live inside the actual file system? And a second, more important question: How well does SUJ cope with unexpected power outages? I just had two power failures recently, the first caused by a bad supply, the second caused by a failing CPU fan which lead to an emergency shutdown of the hardware (power-off). I also remember the last "real" power outage at home when I tried to use the electric kettle, the toaster and the microwave at the same time ...
