5.2-RC Kernel panic when swapping between DVD and audio CD

From: Erik Moe <emoe_at_cox.net>
Date: Tue, 30 Dec 2003 16:43:43 -0600
I'm new to this list and I'm new to the whole procedure of tracking current,
or 5.2-RC in this case. I think that I have the latest 5.2-RC code. My
cvsup tag is RELENG_5_2.

The issue is that I can cause a kernel panic on my T30 Thinkpad. If I
switch between playing a DVD to playing an audio CD, the kernel will panic
probably 70% of the time.

I haven't created a problem report. I assume that I'm posting this to the
right list. Dmesg output and backtrace follow.
