Not sure if this is the appropriate list, but I've tried the -mobile list a few times with no response. Background: ----------- I have an IBM Thinkpad A30p with all the latest BIOS code and Controller code. It's running 5.1-RELEASE well. But I had to set: hw.pci.allow_unsupported_io_range=1 To get the kernel booting. I have apm enabled and loading properly in the kernel (as a module), and I have apmd running and apm enabled in user space. Problem: -------- I can place the system into Standby mode and bring it back without problems, but when I try to suspend the system, I run into problems: The system suspends without problems. But when I try to bring it back from suspend it freezes right after the line: ata1: resetting devices .. Firewire appears to resume fine, and so does ata0, but I think it's hanging on the ATAPI devices under ata1. Help! This APM BIOS suspends fine under Linux (2.4.18 kernel)! I've tried everything I can think of to get suspend working under 5.1-RELEASE! I will happily do my best to provide any further information required! I'll even build a debug kernel if that's what it takes. I'm out of ideas here... Dmesg.boot: ----------- Copyright (c) 1992-2003 The FreeBSD Project.
