I never had trouble at home with my ne2000 isa card or an rl0 in my notebook or fxp0; neither xover nor connected to a hub. But I have seen problems with an elderly de0 at another place. > We have occasionally seen what I am told by our network folks are odd > autonegotiation issues with 3C905-TX cards connected to Cisco switches, (At least 'smaller') Cisco switches are known to trouble when left on autoneg. I have seen this for years with too many providers and hosters... and all kinds of NICs :( The first thing I check once I get a port on such a switch is that there is no duplex mismatch and mostly manually force both ends to be 100/full. -- Greetings Bjoern A.
