That's strange. Would you show me the output of "pciconf -lcv"?
It's possible that you have third generation ethernet controller,
AR8131/AR8132 from Atheros. I'm working on supporting these
controllers and you can get the latest driver for AR8131/AR8132

Ignore the thread. You don't need any patches to make ale(4) run on
RELENG_7/CURRENT.
