So do it already. :)  A lot of people have talked about this, but no
one has put code where their mouth is. Create a POC and post it to
-arch, then we have something concrete to discuss. And please, don't
bother with the "But I don't want to do the work if it isn't going to
be accepted into the base" argument. There are way more than enough
people whinging about this topic that your work will have an
appreciative audience, which is all the reward we get around here.

While those are nice words I don't think they have any meaning in the
real world. We're dealing with a technical issue, we need to keep the
discussion on technical terms.
